I am about as Varsity as it comes and all of my boys continue to wait until they are at that 17 year old mark to get into gear to get their Eagle. I think it is the age and not necessarily the leader (though they can be an issue).

I have gone into boys home and started PROJECT EAGLE where I explain the process and go through the paperwork. All they have to do is pick a project and I help along the way. But of the 5 I have met with, they are all still sitting at Life. You can't force a boy to Eagle. It would lessen the pain and struggle I went through to get mine. Frustrating ~ yes.

As for the Scout Committee, we started a great one with our old Scoutmaster as the Chair. In the 9 weeks that has followed and the 2 meetings we have had, it has sense fallen apart and we are back to 3 leaders doing the work they should plus the Scout Committees. Frustration ~ yes!!!

Don't give up. In the end it is about the boy. He has to live with the fact that they waited.Fishguttshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03341241565019533579noreply@blogger.com
